Effective 9 August 2026

PrismShare collects nothing and transmits nothing. It moves files and live audio between a screen and a camera as colour codes, so there is almost nothing for this policy to describe.

What the app collects

No personal data, usage data, analytics, identifiers or diagnostics.

What the app transmits

Nothing. The Android app does not request network permission, so it cannot send anything off your device. Received files are decoded from camera frames and stored only where you save them. Received audio is played and not retained.

Camera permission

The camera is used to read PrismShare Codes from screens. Frames are decoded in memory on the device and discarded. The app takes no photographs and records no video.

Third parties

No third-party SDK in the app communicates with a service, because the app cannot communicate over a network.

The website

prismshare.app serves static pages with no cookies and no analytics. If you use the become a tester form, we store the email address you give us, use it to send your Google Play invite and testing updates, and nothing else. It is never shared. Email us and it is deleted.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If a future version gains a capability that touches data or the network, this policy will describe it before that version ships and the effective date will change.
